The seasons that change us

When the outside looks capable but the inside feels depleted

You may still be working, caregiving, leading, and showing up for everyone else. Underneath, you may feel exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to slow down without everything falling apart. This is not a failure of strength it’s a sign that your capacity needs care.

  • Your mind rarely switches off.
  • Rest does not feel restorative.
  • You are carrying other people’s needs and emotions.
  • Grief or change shows up as irritability, numbness, or exhaustion.
  • You have lost touch with what you need.
  • You are functioning, but it no longer feels sustainable.

Capacity Literacy

A seasonal way to understand capacity

Beyond Seasons uses a seasonal framework to describe how capacity and support needs can change through burnout, grief, trauma and major transitions. Rather than placing you into a fixed sequence, care begins with what feels manageable now and builds from there.

The framework supports reflection and care planning. It is not a diagnosis, scoring result or promise of a particular outcome. Detailed assessment and facilitator methods remain private.
